Miss Paula Jean Waldron, Galesburg Chapel

67, of Galesburg, died at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Marigold Health Care Center.
She was born December 6, 1945 in Canton, Ill. the daughter of Melvin and Florence Beatrice (Ulm) Waldron.
She is survived by a sister, Carol (and Earl) Day of Abingdon, Ill.; a brother, Jeff (and Trudy) Waldron of Redlands, Calif.; five nieces and nephews, LuAnne Day Brackett of Abingdon, Jeff (and Julie) Day of Heyworth, Ill., Phillip (and Barbie) Day of Abingdon, Melanie (and Scott) Waldron Medlin of Redlands, and Christine Waldron Corneille of Woodinville, Wash.; 10 great nieces and nephews; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Laura Waldron.
Paula Jean was an LPN and worked at various care facilities in the Galesburg area. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Galesburg. Her hobbies included cooking and crocheting afghans. She graduated from Valley High School in Fairview, Ill. and received her medical training in Minneapolis.
Private family graveside service will be in East Midway Cemetery, near London Mills, Ill. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Harmony Baptist Church. Pastor Chris Nissley will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
