62, of Galesburg, died at 3:11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with his family at his side.
He was born October 25, 1950 in Dunfermline, Ill. the son of Marion “Jack” and Rosetta (Windsor) Bandle. He married Linda Sue Rohrer in 1968 in Canton, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Charles (and Idy Schneider) Bandle of Galesburg; a daughter, Melinda Bandle of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Mary Bandle, Tommy Bandle, Brandon Leon, and Hannah Leon; and a brother, George Bandle of Gilson, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Gloria Bandle.
Marion worked in the paint shop at Maytag for 35 years. He was an avid golfer and after retiring from Maytag in 2002, he worked at Bunker Links. He shot two holes-in-one, both at Bunker Links. Marion loved his family and especially enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.
Cremation will be accorded. No visitation or service is planned. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremations Services of Galesburg is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
