83, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Monmouth, Ill. died at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Jewish Hospital in Kenwood, Ohio.
She was born August 27, 1930 in Monmouth, the daughter of Gustaf and Esther Palmberg Johnson. She married Max Bachrach in Cincinnati. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret (and Ken) Olmsted of Galesburg, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Kyle Terpening of Monmouth; four nephews, David (and Susan) Bruyn of Seattle, Wash., Dick Bruyn of Minneapolis, Minn., Kevin (and Nancy) Terpening of Knoxville, Ill., and Dennis (and Becky) Terpening of Kirkwood, Ill.; several great nieces and nephews and several cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
Geri was the office manager for the Adams Corporation in Cincinnati that produced Anderson doors and windows. She worked there for 50 years before retiring. She graduated from Monmouth High School in 1949 and attended Monmouth College. She was of the Lutheran faith. Geri enjoyed traveling, reading, and knitting.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. There will be no visitation.
