89, of Hawthorne, Fla., formerly of Galesburg, died at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Hawthorne.
She was born November 21, 1923 in Galesburg to Earl L. and Delma M. Curtis Tracy. She married John T. Ekstrom January 9, 1943 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death April 3, 1997.
Surviving is a son, John Timothy Ekstrom of Winter Park, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Peck of Hawthorne, Fla. and Theo Mayfield of Escondido, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Grace worked as a secretary for U.S.D.A. and then later Admiral Manufacturing Company in Galesburg. She retired in 1982. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1941. She later graduated from Brown’s Business College in Galesburg. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Galesburg and Bethel Women’s Group. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, Johnson, Fla. She was also a member of Daughters of American Revolution.
Cremation was accorded. Graveside memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Rev. Kirk Kendall will officiate. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
