Barbara was born October 6, 1931 in Farmington, Ill., the daughter of Lloyd and Velma Bollinger. She married Robert E. Elledge on April 2, 1949 in Lutesville, Mo. He survives.
She is also survived by her children, Barbara Jean (and Curt) Miller of Lakewood, Colo., Rachel Purdy of Galesburg, Robert L. (and Kimberly) Elledge of Webster, Texas, and Graden E. (and Mona) Elledge of Galesburg; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Jane (and Les) Vaughn of Monticello, Ky. She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Barbara was raised in Farmington, Ill. before moving to Galesburg in 1949. She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at the Knox County Nursing Home and Applegate Nursing Home.
She was of the Baptist faith. Barbara enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with her dog, Porky.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Rick Shriber will officiate. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
