age 52 of Abingdon, died at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was born on October 27, 1961 in Moline, the son of Jack L. and Mildred E. Fry Huber, Sr. He married Tamara Riley on March 17, 1990 in Abingdon.
Gary is survived by his wife, Tamara; one son, Gary D. Huber, Jr., of Abingdon; four daughters, Nicole Huber of Galesburg, Kristy Maloy of Chico, California, Bianca Huber of Abingdon and Debra (Raymond) Hinderliter of Galesburg; three grandchildren and one on the way; his mother, Mildred Huber; his siblings, Frank Huber, Chris Horsford, Rose (Alan) Flynn, Shelly (Lewis) Jones, Roy (Suzie) Huber and Jack Huber, Jr., all of Abingdon; special friends, Josh (Tabitha) Head, Jarrod (Kassie) Bearce and Mike Lock; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack L. Huber, Sr., and one sister, Carol Ann Klinebough, one brother, Joseph Huber, and one nephew, Marcus Walsh.
He had lived in Abingdon most of his life. He worked for several farmers in the Abingdon area. He enjoyed competing in local demo derbys.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation.
