7, of Galesburg died at 7:10 am Friday, August 29, 2014 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born Decemeber 11, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Michael and Doris Wardell Armstrong. He married Debbie Lauer on May 26, 1985 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving is his son, Bruce Armstrong of Chicago; his daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Spalla of Chicago; his step daughter, Sandra Genisio of Galesburg; two brothers John (Marilyn) Armstrong and Jimmy (Pam) Armstrong both of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Courtney, Jacob, Ashley, Stephanie, Chloe, Stephen, Caidon and Matthew and two great grandchildren, Naylee and Naiva.He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Millie Chandler and his step son, Robert Reeder.
Bruce was a lead at Dick Blick Art Material for 10 years. He graduated from school in Chicago. Bruce enjoyed antiquing. He loved being with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Richard Shriber will officiate.
