age 92 of Galesburg, Ill. Died Thursday November 14, 2013 at 3:18 PM at Cottage Hospital.
She was born September 13, 1921 in Browning, Mo. the daughter of James N. and Pearl Kimbrough Mundell. She married Erwin W. “Rocky” Moeller November 4, 1945 in Wilton, Ia. he preceded her in death on January 21, 2001.
Marilea is survived by two sons David and Anne Moeller, Darryl Moeller, and one daughter Joni and John Zewald all of Houston, Tx., two brothers Nelson Mundell of Moline, Il. and Junius and Lou Mundell of Browning, Mo., three sisters Phyllis and Walt Dengler of Eldridge, Ia., Ruth and Nick Viviani of Moline, Il., and Joyce Aldridge of Galesburg, Il., five grandchildren David Jr., Jonathan, Andrew, Lisa, and Valerie, and one great granddaughter Evan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Richard and Norris Mundell.
She graduated in 1939 from Browning High School in Browning, Mo. then became a welder at International Harvester in East Moline, Il.. Later owned and operated “Rocky’s” Maid-Rite Shop in Galesburg for 30 years with her husband. Then she worked for Galesburg High School District #205 in the cafeteria for 11 years.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church since 1947, Lutheran Women Missionary League, (L.W.M.L.), church choir, and Galesburg Artist Guild. Marilea enjoyed painting in oils, acrylics, and making crafts. She participated in the Spoon River Drive with her crafts and paintings. She loved gardening, flowers, and traveling to Houston, Tx. to visit her children.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior the services at the church. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
