64, of Galesburg, Ill. passed away peacefully in her sleep at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
She was born June 5, 1949 in Kansas City, Mo. to Paul Norbert and Helen Marie Pickering Hawkins. In 1969, she married Winn Finley Wikoff who currently resides in Galesburg.
Also surviving are two sons, Paul (and Rachel) Wikoff of Rocklin, Calif. and John (and Nikki) Wikoff of East Peoria, Ill., three daughters, Ann “Marie” (and Mark) Lehmann of Reno, Nev., Brigit (and William “Bill”) Hollis of Hamilton, Ill. and Carrie (and Michael) Paden of Friendswood, Texas, two brothers, Paul Robert (and Judy) Hawkins of Riverside, Calif. and William E. (and Elizabeth) Hawkins of Alta Loma, Calif. and eight grandchildren, Jadon Wikoff, Davin Wikoff, Hayden Wikoff, Reese Wikoff, Bailey Hollis, Benjamin Hollis, Thomas Paden and Josephine Paden.
Linda was a farmer and insurance broker for 44 years. She graduated from Glenbard West, Glen Ellyn, Ill. in 1967 and Knox College, Galesburg, Ill in 1990. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Galesburg where she was active in the choir. She was the women’s committee chairwoman for the Knox County Farm Bureau. She was the state representative to the Illinois Rural Health Association and the Illinois Council on Food Agricultural Research, for the Illinois Farm Bureau. Linda was a 4-H leader in Rio and Oneida, Ill. and a Girl Scouts Troop Leader in Rio.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at First United Methodist Church. Mary Runge will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
