90, of Galesburg, Ill. died at 11:38 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.
She was born February 22, 1923 in Lewistown, Ill. to Harley F. and Emma Grace Bandle Woods. She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1941, and married Paul Ulm July 25, 1954 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death October 22, 2012.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan Kay (and David) Haugh of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Richard (and Lila) Woods of Lewistown; a sister, Jacquelyn Wilmot of Chatham, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Peter, Samuel and Leah Haugh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Phyllis worked for 15 years with Illinois Bell in Lewistown. She worked in child care when she lived in Peoria, Ill. and worked at a preschool in Mundelein, Ill. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Galesburg where she taught Sunday school, and played the organ and piano.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene, Galesburg. Rev. Ron Scarlett will officiate. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Memorials may be made to Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
