85, of East Galesburg, died at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born September 18, 1927 in Lewistown, Ill. the daughter of Herald and Gladys Hughs Lynch. She married Duane Willard Pickrel on August 12, 1943 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1986.
She is survived by a son, Herald “Butch” (and Donna) Pickrel of Galesburg; two grandsons, Justin Pickrel and Jeff Kern, both of Galesburg; a dear friend, Ronald Eskridge of Galesburg; a sister, Mary Lou Singer in Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews, including Michael Lee Wrhel of Boise, Idaho, who was close to Marcella. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven in 1967; and a sister, Dixie Lee Wrhel.
Marcella was a homemaker. She enjoyed artwork and was an artist. She also enjoyed singing and dancing.
Marcella requested that no visitation or service be held. Those wishing to mourn her passing are encouraged to remember her fondly and consider a donation in her memory to Prairieland Animal Welfare Center or Guardian Angels Humane Society.
