74, formerly of Galesburg, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Berwick Retirement Village, Berwick, Pa.
She was born November 26, 1937 in Galesburg, Ill., a daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel (Anderson) Throckmorton.
She was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed quilting, sewing, and reading. She also enjoyed Rock and Roll music and playing the piano. Sharon loved all of God’s creatures.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Derby. Surviving is her daughter, Kim (and Paul) Smock of North Augusta, S.C. and her son, Jay (and Janice) Perry of Benton, Pa.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. There will be no visitation. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
