90, of Galesburg, died 3:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Knox County Nursing Home.
She was born August 15, 1925 in Monmouth, Illinois the daughter of Creighton and Margaret Lee Hoskins. She married Jack R. Sanford on January 14, 1944 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1989.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Locks of Mesa, Arizona; her sister, Bonita McFarland of Galesburg; her sister-in-law, Sue Hoskins of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Lindsay Owens and Brad Cisco and four great grandchildren, Marshall Cisco, Ryder Cisco, Faith Owens and Sunny Owens. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Jacklyn Sanford, her brother, Gero Hoskins and her brother-in-law, Robert McFarland.
Alice worked for the Galesburg Public Safety Building as a receptionist for over 30 years. She graduated from Galesburg High School. She was a member of PTA of Galesburg. Alice was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and its Women’s Circle.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 12 Noon Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Norman Mendell will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
