77, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 9:34 am Monday, January 25, 2016 at her home.
She was born December 19, 1938 in Pilger, Nebraska the daughter of Hobart and Elaine Rees Ottum. She married Ronald J. Welch on September 20, 1958 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2003.
She is survived by her son, David (and Tammy) Welch of Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Teresa Phillipson of Galesburg and Tana (and Dean) Espenschied of Monticello, Illinois; her daughter-in-law, Shelby Welch of Norwalk, Iowa; three brothers, Donald (and Angie) Ottum of San Diego, California, Wayne (and Deborah) Ottum of Seattle, Washington and Brad Ottum of Pennsylvania; one sister, Carol Rosedale of Reedley, California; nine grandchildren, Harrell Timmons, III, Andrea Coffman, Tobias Monzo, Danielle Phillipson, Adam TerBeek, Emily Espenschied, William Espenschied, Brady and Reagan Welch and three great grandchildren, Caleb Monzo, Selah Monzo, Grace TerBeek. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Randy and Brian Welch, one daughter, Lori Welch and a granddaughter, Sophia Welch.
Deloris served in the Women’s Army Corp from 1957-1959.
She had worked for Walmart and in the food industry for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother and devoted grandmother.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am Thursday, January 28, 2016 in East Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Rev. Pamela Marolla will officiate. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with services. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
